The student community at Essex Street Academy can find a rich diversity of activities available to them after school. Homework Help is offered by multiple teachers until 5:00pm; current clubs include the Mock Trial Team, Yoga Club, Running Club, Theater, Music, Step Team, Yearbook, Student Government, School Newspaper, Community Service, Student Events Committee, French Ambassadors, League of Inspiration, Board Game Club, Video Game Club, Global Kids, Feminist Club, LGBTQ Plus, and Outward Bound Mentoring Program for Boys and Girls. In addition, ESA partners with other schools in the Seward Park Campus for PSAL sports, including Basketball, Wrestling, Volleyball, Tennis, Softball, Bowling, Baseball, and Handball.
