The student community at Essex Street Academy can find a rich diversity of activities available to them after school. Homework Help is offered by multiple teachers until 5:30pm; current clubs include the Mock Trial Team, Yoga Club, Step Team, Yearbook, Student Government, School Newspaper, Film Club, Cooking Club, Korean Club, Community Service, GleeESA, Intramural Basketball, Gymnastics and Weight Room. In addition, ESA partners with other schools in the Seward Park Campus for PSAL sports, including Basketball, Wrestling, Volleyball, Tennis, Baseball, and Handball.
